1 Card Spread

PRIMARY USES A simple and quick way to consult the Tarot on an important decision, answer, or request for inspiration.

What the Spread Reveals

With only one card to consult, you need to make your question or pose your decision or problem very succinctly and clearly in your mind. Frame the question so that the one card gives you a definitive answer. To begin this spread, shuffle the cards carefully, spread them out in a long line in front of you, then allow your Higher Self to draw that one special card from the deck. This should be done carefully and with calm focus.

Problem Solving or Decision Making Approach

This spread will help you to learn to apply the tarot to figure out how to approach a problem or decision. This is easiest when you let your ego and conscious mind relax, and allow your Higher Self to speak to you through the cards you draw.

Your Drawn Card - This card reveals the answer, the guidance for you to follow to approach your problem or decision in a powerful way.

Answers to Big Questions:

This spread will help you to find the answer to your specific question in a simple, clear way.

Your Drawn Card - This card reveals the answer to your specific question. Make sure that your question is clearly stated.

Case In Point

To illustrate how this spread works, consider the following question:

"Will I be successful in my studies?"

You draw the one card and end up with the following layout:

Card Drawn: The Lovers

Since you have only card to consult, it is much easier to understand the meaning of the answer given by the Tarot.

The Lovers: - this card shows happy relationships, and at a deeper level, an important choice to be made by the Querant and options to be weighed. This is clearly worrying you, but this card indicates that with due consideration you will resolve the internal struggles and lead ultimately to a favorable outcome. Do not lose faith!

CASE STUDY: Alex is considering returning to college to further his education and prepare for a career. He is interested in several different areas of study and is confused about which one he should attempt.
